Centrally located and a very nice alternative to Runyon Canyon! It is a short, 3 mile loop that isn’t very crowded.
Located in the eastern Santa Monica Mountains on the north side of Mulholland Drive, it offers spectacular views.

Fryman Canyon is a short 15 minute drive away. Go west to Crescent Heights, make a right and continue on Laurel Canyon (you will drive uphill and then downhill.) Make a left at Fryman Canyon, which has a traffic light, and then an immediate right into the parking lot. Parking is $3. Start at the marked trailhead and you’ll hike a loop that brings you back to the parking lot. Takes about 40 minutes start to finish.
