My Mom’s Linzer Cookies

Ingredients
1 pound crisco + 1 oz margarine
5 cups flour
1 2/3 C sugar
3 whole eggs
1 grated lemon rind
1 tbs vanilla extract

Directions: Bake at 350 until just done.
Divide into 4 parts. Roll and cut out whole cookies (for the bottom) and cookies with a hole (for the top). Spread seedless jelly on the bottoms and sift powdered sugar on the tops and then assemble.
