Bottle Up The Moments

I’m super excited for our new listing at 1426 N Elevado St above Sunset Blvd in Silverlake! The property is a 2 story side-by-side townhouse style duplex with interesting architecture consisting of exterior newly stuccoed, drywalled, and extra insulated walls that curve along the quiet hilly Silverlake street lined with mature trees. Each of the 2 duplex units has 3 beds + 3 baths and a private huge porch with views of the majestic Downtown LA skyline in one direction and Griffith Park (and the Observatory) in the other direction. There are 3 garage bays – 2 for cars with EV chargers and the 3rd for storage. The duplex is entirely remodeled; the new kitchens have center islands, SS appliances, quartz counters, and abundant new cabinetry + the bathrooms are stylish and sophisticated. The property has a modern tree-house feel, being on a hill and completely surrounded by greenery + windows with views. Right across the street from the property is a staircase down to Sunset to grab a coffee or run into an eclectic vibey neighborhood shop. The owner just committed to lease one unit for 6500/mt and the new tenant will take possession on April 15; the second unit is vacant. The property is artsy and architectural at the same time. I can’t wait for our open house today from 2-5 and Tuesday from 11-2

I’m super excited for our new listing at 4822 Van Noord Unit 1. This property is an almost 1800 square foot spacious condo close to Whole Foods and the freeways in a really neat spot in Sherman Oaks! The building is located at the center of a T where 2 streets meet, which makes for interesting views in multiple directions outside the living room window. The space feels spacious with a large living room (and a private balcony off it), dining room, 2 beds + den. The building has a pool, spa, and secure gated parking. The current tenant has lived in the space for 8 years and absolutely loves living there. I’m excited to meet the next steward of this home. We’re showing today for the first time at an open house from 2-5 pm!

244 N Rossmore sold this week; it was a true honor to sell this stark white Santa Barbara Spanish notable iconic home on the prominent corner of Rossmore and Beverly, diagonally across the street from the iconic Wilshire Country Club and just a short stroll to Larchmont Village. I absolutely loved my entire time working with Murray, the owner, from beginning to end; Fadia, the cooperating agent, and her clients were lovely and I appreciated our smooth transaction. The neighborhood is super lucky for the addition of this lovely new-to-the-area family and I wish them many happy and healthy years in their beautiful tennis court home.

Our listing at 1332 Belfast is released to record on Monday morning and I couldn’t be more excited! I first met Wes and Val in May of last year. Wes and Val’s Dad was noted mid-century modernist architect, Peter Munselle, who commissioned 1332 Belfast to be built for himself in 1989. Mr. Munselle died in his 90s; he spent many memorable years into his old age walking the surrounding hills, and enjoying the sunset + twinkling city light views from the multitude of windows throughout his architecturally significant house just above Sunset Plaza. This transaction was a wild ride; shepherding it through all the twists and turns and ultimately all the way to the finish line was a test in fortitude at times, exhilarating at others, and overall an absolute honor. It was a complete blessing and a treat to work with Wes and Val, a brother/sister duo who are smart, logical, kind, even-keeled sellers. I wish Wes and Val the world and I’ll miss all our pow wow sessions together!

It’s amazing the stark contrast between our usual empty nesting quiet house and our bustling full-of-activity stuffed-to-the-gills house for the holidays! My kids believe that I express my love for them with food. Maybe. I love the kitchen and experimenting with different flavors and textures. I also believe that mouthwatering food makes any gathering a celebration. All my life I watched my mom put so much energy into making delectable food; to me by definition holidays mean so much hard work and so much homemade delicious food. It’s been a true treat to work in the kitchen very late at night until the wee hours of the morning all week food prepping, labeling, and gearing up for our one week extra special treat of getting to spend time in our home with our kids who live way too far away all year and who we always miss like crazy! I want to bottle up these moments and savor them to hold onto and remember for all the times we’ll be back to our empty nesting house and counting the seconds until we get to visit and see each other again!

Wishing all who celebrate a Happy Passover and an exquisitely joyful holiday!

Xoxoxo,

Sheri
