Larchmont
Located to the south of Hollywood and east of Hancock Park, Larchmont Village lies tucked into the heart of Los Angeles’ urban quilt. One of the smallest neighborhoods in Los Angeles, Larchmont village is notable for its quaint old-town shopping street and well-maintained historic homes. It has four schools and one small park. It has been the site of early and recent motion picture shoots. Larchmont Village itself is centered on Larchmont Boulevard between Beverly Boulevard and 3rd Street. There are also restaurants, specialty clothing boutiques, coffee shops, a juice store, a video store, bagel shops, spas, an ice cream store, and Landis, a general store that dates back to the 1920s. Are you in the market for homes for sale in Larchmont Village, Los Angeles? It’s not surprising. The small but highly desirable neighborhood is popular with many both within the city limits of Los Angeles, and beyond. It bristles with upmarket shopping and dining opportunities. Larchmont, as it is commonly called, is a mere half-square mile in size. However, it offers a suburban kind of living that many in Los Angeles covet, especially given its central location. Bordered to the north by Hollywood, to the south by Windsor Square, and to the east by Koreatown and East Hollywood, it offers a stark contrast to the atmosphere of its neighbors. Its iconic, bourgeois strip, Larchmont Boulevard, features broad sidewalks, diagonal parking, and plenty of boutiques and coffee shops. It’s proud to have the city’s oldest independent bookstore, Chevalier’s Books. Larchmont is one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Los Angeles, with low crime and plenty of local amenities and destinations. Demographically, Larchmont is a highly diverse area, with large white, Asian, and especially Latino populations.NEIGHBORHOOD HIGHLIGHTS
