Are you looking for homes for sale in Century City, Los Angeles? There are plenty of reasons to favor the neighborhood. Bounded on three sides by green spaces, rubbing shoulders with Beverly Hills, Century City has long had a prestigious reputation. Interestingly, though, it was actually born out of the failures of 20th Century Fox in the early 60s. When Fox needed to liquidate assets to cover financial losses, they sold a large portion of their land to developers. The developers immediately set about designing a ‘city within a city’. Today, Century City is one of Los Angeles’ most significant business hubs, with its high rise buildings dominating the skyline of the Westside. Fox Studios still represents one of the most significant landmarks of the area, along with the Westfield Century City shopping center. The area also enjoys easy access to Rancho Park and its golf course, the Hillcrest Country Club, Roxbury Park, and the Los Angeles Country Club. Besides its most famous neighbor, the area also borders Cheviot Hills, West LA, and Westwood. A compact neighborhood and commercial district surrounding Fox Studios, Century City is marked by sleek high-rise hotels, condos, and offices. Outside Downtown Los Angeles, Century City is one of the metropolitan area’s most prominent employment centers, and its skyscrapers form a distinctive skyline on the Westside. Located next to Beverly Hills, Bel Air, and the West Side in Los Angeles, the neighborhood is a hotspot for some of the city’s top restaurants, hotels, and shopping destinations. One of Century City’s most notable attractions is Westfield Century City, a 1.3 million-square-foot outdoor shopping mall, recently underwent an $800 million renovation and has become one of the Westside’s premier shopping and entertainment destinations.
