Green Snakes and Purple Greenbeans for the Holiday 🐍 Real Estate Blog

I’m super excited about our new lease listing at 1933 Tudor Lane.  The offering is a newer construction house (built in 2016) with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a hedged serene backyard with a fireplace and a built-in barbecue in The Faircrest, a gated community where the streets feel like Wisteria Lane.  There’s a clean + crisp huge white spacious kitchen with a large breakfast bar island with Carrera countertops and stainless steel appliances.  The kitchen opens to the living room with a statement fireplace + floor to ceiling glass disappearing doors on one side and a large dining room with deep windows that look out to the green backyard on the other.  The circular staircase and adjacent foyer are bathed in sunshine.  The primary suite has a large bath with double vanities, a free standing tub, an oversized shower, and 2 large walk-in closets.  There’s a wall-to-wall built-in desk upstairs in the open concept den.  The owners moved out of this house some time ago…and the kids are still pining for their neighbor best friends that they made when they lived in this house and everyone hung out inside and outside their houses in their shared quiet safe gated community.  In truth, the parents are still close friends with the neighbors in this community too.  They loved living in this house.  1933 Tudor Lane is a cool offering for people looking for a spacious 5 bedroom house in a safe and friendly gated neighborhood.

I’m excited for our new lease at 125 N Mansfield.  The offering is the upstairs of a duplex with large living and dining rooms, a brand new remodeled kitchen, 3 beds and 2 baths.  The primary bedroom is spacious and it overlooks the backyard.  One of the 2 bathrooms is entirely new.  There’s a bonus room off the living room and a private porch just for this unit.  The space is bright and it has abundant storage space.  The downstairs neighbors are lovely and the location is both quiet and central.  We’ve been fervently showing and looking forward to finding and meeting the new tenants!

I’m excited that we closed on the sale of 109-111 N Detroit this week.  I love that duplex. The curb appeal from the street is beautiful.  I love the interior staircase with statement stained glass windows and the majestic tall ceilings and wide open space. The living and dining rooms are filled with sunshine and the scale of the bedrooms is just right.  The finishes are a perfect mix of new and old with character moldings, deep windows, central HVAC, and pristine hardwood floors.  The space is both homey and elegant at the same time.  The buyers are super excited that the whole building is vacant and they can move right in!  The location is just right for the buyers and the property hits the spot!  My favorite happening is when a deal closes and both sides are thrilled.  In a very unusual course of events for us, Berel represented the buyer and we represented the seller, so the whole transaction was in our company, and I’m proud that the deal was perfectly fair all around to both sides and all parties are legitimately thrilled with the outcome.

It’s my absolute favorite time of year, holidays with the kids (and adults)!  At The LA Zoo in the snake house, I pointed out to (almost 3 year old) Eliyahu a snake in an extra majestic cool shade of green with gorgeous snakeskin.  When I commented to Eliyahu that this snake was extra beautiful, he responded immediately, “Then it must be for Shabbat and the Holidays.”  I asked Eliyahu again to make sure I understood that he meant to say that all things special and beautiful are for Shabbat and Holidays, and yes that’s true, even beautiful snakes.  I loved meandering through the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market on Wednesday to hunt for extra beautiful nature’s bounty for the holiday – peppers in purple, orange, red, and multi stripes + bright deep yellow tomatoes + dark purple green beans + fresh farm grown jicama.  I love everything about having the kids around – the little people’s toys + books + ideas, the big colorful family size platters piled high with special food, the prominent spot in the Sukkah where the kiddie holiday decorations hang, and of course all the extra big hugs and kisses.  If only these moments could last forever and ever!
