One of our Most Favorite Recipes!

Bloody Mary Marinated London Broil

(adapted from Kosher by Design Short on Time)

Ingredients

1 large shoulder London broil, about 3 pounds
1 cup tomato juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon prepared white horseradish
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
2 dashes hot sauce, such as Tabasco or Frank’s Red Hot
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
olive oil

Place the meat in a glass bowl. In a medium bowl mix all the marinade ingredients and pour over meat to marinate at least an hour or as long as overnight. Pour some oil in a heavy pot and preheat. Sear the meat on high heat for about 10 minutes per side – be careful not to overcook – it’s best pink inside. Allow the meat to rest a few minutes and thinly slice on the diagonal.
