To come up with an estimate of your home’s value, we use a number of methods and data sources. Unlike online estimator tools, our property value estimates are calculated individually by an experienced, local Los Angeles real estate professional. Our market analysis starts with “comps,” or comparable properties on the market that have sold in the last several months. With the dynamic nature of the Los Angeles real estate market, comps from over a year ago, or from outside your immediate neighborhood, are not going to be relevant. We also take the condition of the property into consideration: did you recently upgrade your appliances? add on a bathroom? invest in solar panels? Additionally, a visual inspection of your property and nearby homes will play into the equation as well.


When deciding to sell your home, you can choose from a wide variety of real estate agents in Los Angeles, or “listing agents,” as they are commonly known. A listing agent does what the name implies — lists your property for sale in the MLS, markets it, holds the open house, and helps you receive top dollar for your home. When hiring a listing agent for your property, you will typically sign an exclusive listing agreement for a set time frame, such as 180 days. The listing agent’s job is to work for you, the seller, and to generate the optimal outcome.
