Stuffed Jalapeño Appetizer


  1. Cut jalapenos in half and remove all the seeds.
  2. Prepare filling. Mix ground meat with chopped parsley, crushed garlic, salt, pepper.
  3. Fill piping bag and pipe meat mixture into jalapeno halves.
  4. Wrap each stuffed jalapeno in pastrami slices.
  5. Bake in preheated oven at 425 for 20 minutes. Or freeze assembled and bake right before use.
  6. Serve next to a cold cooked pear half (boil pear halves in water and a little sugar until soft and refrigerate until use.)
  7. Garnish with a mint sprig or an edible flower or some greens.
