Wendy Trail Hike

Wendy Trail Hike

When I went there was not a waterfall running but it was still a pleasant hike. It is about 3.6 miles round trip. The trail begins with a slight downhill to a tree-lined creek bed. Then you will arrive at a junction. Take the trail to the left.

Not too far after reaching the top, you will come to an old windmill on the left side of the trail. Continuing past the windmill, the trail passes through a pleasant, shaded area, making several switchbacks. You will come to a trail running along the north rim of Sycamore Canyon. To the left is the Hidden Valley Overlook Trail. Go right, to join with Danielson Road a few hundred yards down the trail. Make a 180 and proceed on Danielson Road down into the canyon.

Depending on the amount of rainfall, you may have to negotiate a stream crossing (easy rock-hopping) at the bottom of the canyon. After this crossing, you begin a moderate climb. In less than a quarter mile, you arrive at the first switchback, where you will continue to go straight on the spur trail to the falls. Be cautious climbing over rocks to get to the base of the falls.
